Scientifc Officer Sleep Medicine #415558

An excellent opportunity exists for a hospital scientist to work in the Paediatric Sleep Unit assisting in sleep studies of infants and children.

Essential Criteria:

Recognised Science, or other technical degree

Advanced computer skills

Ability to work collaboratively

Effective communication

Problem solving skills and critical thinking

Knowledge of Word and Excell

Experience in acquisition and processing of data

Willingness to work a full rotating roster to cover sick leave

Desirable Criteria:

Familiarity with electro-biological monitoring and recording systems, particularly computerised sleep studies.
Experience in performing overnight sleep studies in infants and children using the Compumedics System;
Good organisational and analytical skills, previous research experience- a higher degree will be advantageous;
Proven written and verbal communication skills, in particular dealing with children and their families
Experience with SPSS is an advantage

 

Salary:

 

In keeping with the Hospital scientist award and comensurate with years of experience

 

 

Hours:

16 hours per week Monday and Tuesday 1:30 pm to 10 pm

 

This position is Permanent Part Time working 16 hours per week and is classified as an Scientific Officer.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic level 4 Physiotherapist with a keen interest in, and suitable knowledge of, Paediatrics and Cardiopulmonary management. This is a full time permanent role, working as part of an established Physiotherapy team at the Sydney Children's Hospital (SCH) in Randwick.  The position is responsible for providing clinical physiotherapy services to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), wards and coordinating the After Hours physiotherapy service at SCH.

 

This position is Permanent Full Time and is classified as a Physiotherapist Level 4.
