Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and motivated Registered Nurse for the full time permanent position of Nursing Unit Manager, Medical Imaging Service Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).
This new and exciting position will be responsible for the nursing services of the CCLHD Medical Imaging Departments at Gosford and Wyong sites. The NUM is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, unit management and leadership of the profession of nursing to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
The Medical Imaging NUM ensures the provision of an appropriate and safe standard of care by:
- Being responsible for the operational management and daily staffing coordination to ensure optimal procedural outcomes with patient safety focussed care.
- Coordinating the delivery of advanced nursing practice within a multidisciplinary environment in accordance with legislation, standards of nursing practice and code of conduct.
- Ensuring all nursing staff in the units practice safely, are competent and work within their scope of practice
Central Coast Local Health District is located 1 hour north of Sydney comprising 4 hospitals and multiple community health centres. This position will be primarily located across the two acute facilities of Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. Wyong Hospital is a 300 bed Hospital while Gosford Hospital is a 500 bed referral and teaching hospital of the University of Newcastle which service the rapidly growing area of the Central Coast.
