Purpose of Position

Responsible for the day to day secretarial and administrative duties for the assigned cardiologists. This position services the EP - Staff Specialists. The position will also assist and support  as well as provide relief for other cardiology secretarial staff and Sydney Heart Centre administrative staff.

 

ONLY PERMANENT EMPLOYEES OR TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES WITH 12 MONTHS CONTINUOUS SERVICE WITH NSW HEALTH ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.

Selection Criteria 1.Competent secretarial/office procedural / organisational skills and ability to manage to prioritize work and meet deadlines

2.Excellent typing/digital voice dictation skills

3.Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word for Windows and Excel

4.Excellent telephone, reception etiquette and interpersonal skills

5.Knowledge of Medical Terminology (Cardiology)

6.Knowledge of medicare billing

7.Capacity to work with minimal direction and to undertake a diverse range of tasks

8.Willingness to provide assistance to other secreterial staff during busy periods and willingness to work in a team environment
