Purpose of Position

The CNS2 is required to demonstrate leadership in collaborative practice by modelling best practice end of life nursing care. The provision of mentorship and evidence based education for quality end of life care delivery will be extended to other nurses and health care professionals. The position may require some travel and attendance at meetings and forums.

Selection Criteria Uncumbered drivers licence and computer skills

Demonstrated experience in change management process and/or implementation of models of care and/or implementation of evidence based practice processes/programs.

Have a sound knoweldge and experience in the assessment and management of pain and other symptoms associated with end of life and terminal care..

Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised with a high degree of autonomy.

Knowledge of consent, legal and ethical issues that underpin the advanced care planning process

Demonstrated willingness to promote and advocate the vision and goals of the advance care planning process

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a personal comfort level talking about end of life care choices, death and dying.

Current Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
