Purpose of Position

Responsible for the organisation and coordination of all Medico-Legal Hearings involving the Mental Health Review Tribunal (and NSW Civil Administrative Tribunal) and ensuring clear accountabilities are evident in documentation, protocols and procedures as required by the Mental Health Act 2007 and Ministry of Health Policies.

This position provides high level administrative and secretarial support to the Director of Psychiatry, as well as Staff Specialists, other Medical Officers and allied health staff. The person will also be responsible for facilitating, coordinating and supporting administrative systems relating to the efficient and smooth running of the Professor Marie Bashir Centre.

Selection Criteria Demonstrated advanced skills in using Microsoft Suite of applications including MS Word, MS Outlook, Excel, Electronic Medical Record/Patient administration and email systems.
