Maintain the security and safety of all staff, patients and visitors within the Shellharbour Hospital or as required at other hospital sites. Conduct security activities in accordance with Security Industry Regulations 1998 and the Security Industry Act 1997.

Selection Criteria 1. Current Class 1A security industry licence, Senior First Aid Certificate and Class C drivers’ licence.

2. Minimum 12 months (full time equivalent) experience in the security industry and/or equivalent as a security officer.

3. Sound computer, verbal and written communications skills.

4. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

5. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.

6. Demonstrated experience in effectively and safely managing confrontation and aggression.

7. Sound understanding of and commitment to Work Health and Safety issues, and best practice customer service.

8. Demonstrated experience with a sound understanding of alarm systems, access control systems, CCTTV and Fire Indication panels.
