The Registered Nurse provides care to patients admitted to the the Renal Unit as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

 

To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.

Selection Criteria Current Nursing Registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
(AHPRA)


Extensive and recent nursing experience in an acute care facility with experience in renal nursing or a keen interest in same

Demonstrated well developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

An understanding of the nurse’s role and responsibilities in the use of practice development principles to engage with patients/clients and guide others in the provision of a high standard of care

Demonstrated well developed organisational and problem solving skills and a demonstrated commitment to professional development

Demonstrated computer skills with willingness to learn and use electronic medical information and reporting systems.

An understanding and knowledge of the EQuIP National standards and a willingness to be involved in Quality Improvement activities.
