Purpose of Position

Integrated Violence Prevention Response Team is a growing portfolio in FWLHD. The purpose of the Senior Health Clinician IVPRS is support the Manager IVPRS in the development of a clinically robust IVPRS Team through the development and implementation of services policies, protocols, procedures and clinicial governance systems relevant to clinicial practice.


Providing evidence based counselling and therapy to adult and child victims of sexual assault, abuse and neglect and their non-offending family members.


The position will also provide individual clinical supervision and support professional development of Level 3,2,1 and non- graduate IVPRS clinicians.


Senior Health Clinician IVPRS may act up in the role of Manager IVPRS where directed.

Selection Criteria Female with degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science with eligibility for membership or recognised professional association in addition to evidence of meeting NSW Health Service Health Professional (State) Award Level.

Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge or sexual assault theory and practice, crisis intervention and a high level of contemporary intervention skills appropriate for sexual assault victims together with a commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence based practice.

Two years minimum experience in providing individual clinicial supervision.

Demonstrated high level communication skills and negotiation skills (written, electronic and oral).

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, prioritise and manage a caseload.

Demonstrated experience in planning, delivering and evaluating service delivery, program development activities and professional education. Including demonstrated experience and commitment to the sexual assault on call roster and the provision of support to staff.

Demonstrated Knowledge of service delivery under primary health care principles and practice within a rural/ remote context.

Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and/or relevant professional standards where applicable and current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence and ability to travel as part of the role.
