Purpose of Position

Ensuring a high level of cleaniness is provided and maintained in all areas of the Operating Suite, Recovery Ward, Middleton Day Stay and CSSD.


Providing a safe a clean environment for all patients, visitors and staff.


This position is Casual and is classified as a Hospital Assistant Grade 2.

Selection Criteria 1. Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

2. Previous experience in a health care facility.

3. Good knowledge of OH&S, Infection Control Standards and the Environmental Cleaning Policy.

4. Ability to work a rotating roster.

5. Ability to carry, lift, push or pull heavy loads frequently.

6. Ability to work as part of a dedicated team.
