Purpose of Position

This position is primarily invovled in the  assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with cerebral palsy pre and post orthopaedic surgery, both as inpatients and outpatients. The physiotherapist will also provide physiotherapy services to Turner Care by Parent Ward. They will work in consultation with the senior physiotherapists of the relevant areas.

 

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Physiotherapy Department at The Children's Hosptial at Westmead.

 

This position is Permanent Full Time and is classified as a Physiotherapist Level 3.

Selection Criteria 1. Current Australian Physiotherapy Registration.

2. Extensive post graduate experience relevant to the position including casting experience .

3. Postgraduate experience working with children with cerebral palsy or similar neurological disorders.

4. Ability to teach both health professionals and parents/carers.

5. Proven ability to work in a multi disciplinary team.

6. Demonstrated high level of communication skills, both written and verbal.

7. Commitment to quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
