Purpose of Position

To provide nursing care to patients within the EN scope of practice. This occurs primarily in the ambulatory setting as determined by patient goals in their rehabilitation management plan.

To work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary Rehab2Kids team in the planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care

To work in partnership with families in the provision of care for patients. 

To develop and maintain, through education and practice, paediatric and nursing knowledge and skills consistent to their role.

To practice within the guidelines of the NSW Nurses Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses in Australia, Ministry of Health, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, policies, procedures and directives.


This is a three day a week position to work as part of a motivated multidisciplinary team who care for children and young people and their families. The role supports a family centred approach, primarily in the outpatient setting and the Enrolled Nurse acts as a resource for families to facilitate a positive experience through their interactions with the Rehab2Kids team.


This position is Permanent Part Time working 24 hours per week and is classified as an Enrolled Nurse.

Selection Criteria 1. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a medication endorsed Enrolled Nurse.

2. Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

4. Recent experience working with children in a hospital outpatient setting

5. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload

6. Demonstrated computer literacy and experience working with electronic medical record systems
