Purpose of Position

To be part of the Pharmacy Department team that provides pharmacy services to CHW and the its inpatient and outpatient population

 

 

There is an opportunity for a Grade 1/ Grade 2 pharmacist to join the CHW Pharmacy team to help provide the pharmacy services required to meet the needs of the inpatient and outpatient population at CHW. This is a full time temporary position and the successful applicant will be rotated through most aspects of pharmacy service provision. CHW has implemented electronic medicines management and the will provide the successful applicant excellent exposure to the use of eMM to enhance patient safety.

 

 

This position is Temporary Full Time up to 8/06/2018 and is classified as a Pharmacist Grade 1 or Pharmacist Grade 2 dependent on experience and meeting the NSW Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award conditions.

Selection Criteria 1. Registered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia with no restrictions

2. Hospital pharmacy experience with a good working knowledge of the Cerner electronic medicines management system

3. Demonstrable clinical skills including good patient counselling and problem solving abilities.

4. Excellent oral and written communication skills

5. The ability to allocate priorities and use initiative where appropriate

6. Experience working as an effective team member

7. Paediatric experience is required to provide high quality pharmacy services to the specialised paediatric cohort at CHW
