Purpose of Position

To provide evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnostic formulations and treatment of psychopathology manifested in cognitive, emotional, personality & behavioural disturbances as indicated by clinical need to clients of the St George Community Mental Health Service.


St George Community Mental Health is seeking a full time Clinical Psychologist to work as part of the Outlook Team, providing psychological intervention for people experiencing mood, anxiety & personality disorders.

Selection Criteria Completion of a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.

Current registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) with an endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology (progression towards endorsement will be considered).

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using evidence based psychological interventions including but not limited to CBT & DBT in working with clients with mood & personality disorders.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with high level verbal / written communication & interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to conduct psychometric assessments and generate comprehensive reports

Commitment to consumer and carer participation and consultation using a recovery-oriented approach.

Current, unrestricted class C NSW drivers licence
