Purpose of Position

This position provides a specialist clinical psychology resource to the Mental Health Inpatient Unit and the Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) The role includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, evaluation and collaborative practice within a recovery focused model of care. This includes providing evidence based individual and group psychotherapeutic interventions with clients suffering significant mental illness.

Selection Criteria 1. Fully registered psychologist (AHPRA) with a Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology.

2. Evidence of significant experience/expertise working with clinically complex clients in a mental health setting.

3. Demonstrated skills in comprehensive psychological assessment, management planning and delivering evidence based care to individuals with acute, enduring and complex mental health problems.

4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with limited supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team and proven time management skills.

5. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

6. Demonstrated knowledge of the use of computers and related IT programs of the modern office.

7. Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence
