Purpose of Position

To provide high quality evidence based clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisplinary team for consumers who meet the Specialist Mental Health Services for Older People criteria that are referred to the service with a mental illness or disorder. 


This is a Temporary Part Time position, working 36 hours per week until 10 May 2018, and classification is dependent on qualifications (either Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker Level 1/2, Occupational Therapist Level 1/2, Counsellor Level 1/2).

The position is located in Bega which belongs to Southern NSW Local Health District.

Selection Criteria Relevent qualifications and current AHPRA registration for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists or eligibility for membership of peak body professional association for Social Workers.

Understanding of mental illnesses and disorders and ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments (including crisis and risk assessments) and coordination of care.

Demonstrated understanding of NSW Mental Health Avt (2007).

Demonstrated understanding of the principles of a recovery focused framework in the mental health setting.

Demonstrated high level communication skills, written and verbal, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

Hold a current drivers licence and willingness to drive for work purposes.
