Purpose of Position

The Operations Supervisor (Building) is reposnible for the day to day supervision and co-ordination of the Plumbing, Gardening, Carpentry Workshops and Maintenance Planning staff. 

 

Liaising with internal staff, external contractors and sub-contractors.

 

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be a current employee of the Western Sydney Local Health District.

This position is temporary full time (up to 13 weeks), working 38 hours per week and is classified as an Engineer Grade 4.

Selection Criteria 1. Demonstrated supervisory including scheduling, planning and supervision of staff in a workshop environment

2. Trade qualification in a Building or related discipline

3. Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills which lead to effective relationships with a diverse stakeholder group

4. Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel, Oracle,

5. Current NSW drivers licence to enable onsite attendance to urgent maintenance issues which may occur out of normal business hours

6. Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety obligations to staff, visitors and patients by being actively involved in the workplace

7. Original of all licences and registrations are to be provided at interview
