Purpose of Position

Provide assessment and clinical management under supervision to orthopaedic patients, including inpatients, perioperative management including operative management, emergency and outpatient services. This is a temporary full time position commencing 5.2.2018 until 4.2.2019. This postiion is locacted at South East Regional Hospital in the BEga Valley.

Selection Criteria Evidence of a Medical Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA) with no restrictions or limitations.

Knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of the broad range of conditions in the area of orthopaedics consistent with that of an unaccreditated orthopaedic trainee

Sound knowledge of and commitment to Quality Management, Ethical practices and Cultural Diversity

Demonstrated experience in the field of orthopaedics practice and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice, including trauma and emergency scenarios consistent with that of an unaccreditated orthopaedic trainee.

Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education relevant to area of practice and a willingness to commit to an equitable hospital on-call roster.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health service colleagues as part of a multi disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff and to work as an effective member of the clinical team.
