Purpose of Position

As part of the RSS team provide support and advice to roster coordinators and managers across the organisation to roster staff correctly ensuring correct payment of staff.  The team also provides ongoing support and training in relation to the two roster systems within Hunter New England Local Health District.

 

Applications are invited for two positions as Rostering Administrative Support Officers for Rostering Support and Workforce Analytics Unit. 

An eligibility list will also be created for future temporary contracts in Rostering Support and the HealthRoster project.

 

To be eligible to apply for this position the applicant must be a current employee of NSW Health or a current employee of Calvary Mater Newcastle

Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience working in a high volume and demanding professional team environment while exercising independent judgement, discretion and initiative, prioritising work and meeting strict deadlines

Demonstrated commitment to providing quality customer-focused service and applying quality improvement initiatives to workplace policy and procedures.

Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers through highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others using a collaborative approach.

Demonstrated experience in the use of electronic HRIS and rostering systems such as StaffLink, ProAct or RosterOn and associated interfaces

Demonstrated ability to use PC based applications such as Microsoft office suite, and related software. Excel skills need to be intermediate to advanced

Experience and/or knowledge of payroll, NSW Health awards, procedures and policies

Demonstrated experience in computer applications training

Demonstrated experience in problem solving, conflict resolution and risk management
