Purpose of Position

The Manager Integrated Violence, Abuse and Neglect position is responsible for ensuring the strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of services, systems and policies that support the delivery and coordination of a range of violence  prevention and care programs including:

  • Sexual Assault Services
  • Child Protection Counselling Services
  • Child Protection and Domestic Violence Education
  • Child well-being unit Coordinator
  • Victims of Crime
  • Joint Investigation Response Team (JIRT)
  • Out of Home Care
  • Integrated crisis response Service
 

This is a  Temporary Full-Time  position, working 38 hours per week until 30 March 2018, and classified as Health Manager, Level 4.  This position location is negotiable within Southern NSW Local Health District.

This position is responsible for ensuring the strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of services, systems and policies that support the delivery and coordination of a range of integrated violence prevention and care programs including sexuals assault, child protection, domestic violence, child wellbeing, JIRT and out of home care.

 

 

Selection Criteria Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health related discipline.

Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of current national and state health service directions in the delivery of violence prevention and care services.

High level conceptual, analytical, problem solving and planning skills and the ability to apply them in the development of comprehensive implementation and improvement strategies for service delivery.

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiations skills, high level conflict resolution skills and demonstrated ability to develop and refine strategic relationships.

Demonstrated successful experience in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and modifying health programs to meet the needs of the community.

Evidence of a current Class C driver’s licence, and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances with the Health Service and attendance at relevant meetings in Sydney.
