Purpose of Position

The Clinical Midwifery Educator provides ,support, training, education, supervision and performance asessment of Registered Midwives and student Midwives working in the Birthing Unit

 

 

Please Note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.

 

Selection Criteria Current Midwifery registration with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer

Extensive clinical midwifery experience across Midwifery Services with expertise in birthing Unit

Highly developed communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

Computer competence, including Windows based programs

Experience in assessment of midwifery competencies

Demonstrated understanding of evidence based midwifery practice.
