Purpose of Position

Deliver consumer focused health care to the community through efficient and effective utilisation of services resources to provide positive health outcomes.


Experienced registered nurses needed in Perioperative Service both Anaesthetics and Recovery and scrub/scout

Selection Criteria • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

• Recent experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife in an acute care/hospital environment and in perioperative nursing or other relevant specialty. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.

• Demonstrated well developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

• An understanding of the nurse’s role and responsibilities in the use of practice development principles to engage with patients/clients and guide others in the provision of a high standard of care

• Demonstrated well developed organisational and problem solving skills

• Demonstrated computer skills with willingness to learn and use electronic medical information and reporting systems.

• An understanding of the EQUiP National standards and a willingness to be involved in Quality Improvement activities.
