The Clinical Midwifery Educator provides clinical teaching and ward/unit orientation for medical students and midwifery staff. The Clinical Midwifery Educator has a role in the provision of mandatory programs. 80% of the Clinical Midwifery Educator’s role is clinical teaching and ensuring organisational clinical education principles and guidelines are engaged.

The Clinical Midwifery Educator works collaboratively with others to facilitate clinical education in order to meet organisational and individual needs.

Maternity Services Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Midwifery Educator, temporary full time (1.0 fte) in an innovative and dynamic work place. The Clinical Midwifery Educator will provide clinical education and support to Medical Students undertaking their Women's and Children's Health placement within Maternity Services CCLHD across the continuum of Obstetrics.

Maternity Services antenatal care incorporates a range of midwifery models provided by our Maternity services include antenatal clinics including EPAS, caseload and team midwifery practices,  at both Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.

Gosford and Wyong Hospitals are BFHI accredited Maternity service.
