Purpose of Position	To actively participate in the activities required to provide an efficient and effective physiotherapy service for patients in the HOPE/ OPERA Unit and, on request, other Geriatric Medicine inpatient units as part of a multidisciplinary service.
	The Physiotherapist is required to provide an efficient and effective physiotherapy service for older patients in HOPE/ OPERA units as part of a multidisciplinary geriatric service focused on early assessment, care planning and intervention. Clinical supervision and education will be provided. People with disabilities who meet the selection criteria are encouraged to apply. Where required, Western Sydney Local Health District will implement reasonable adjustment consistent with industry standard. *This position is Permanent Full time, working 38 hours per week and is classified as a Physiotherapist Level 1/2.*
Selection Criteria	Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy and current Australian National Physiotherapy registration NSW Drivers licence with proven excellent driving record Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated knowledge of evidence based practice and commitment to ongoing professional development Demonstrated knowledge of and participation in quality improvement activities. Demonstrated efficient time management and organisational skills Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication including computer literacy. Demonstrated ability to complete comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and intervention of patients recovering from an acute illness or injury.
