Purpose of Position	The physiotherapist will be responsible for providing physiotherapy services for inpatients, outpatients and/or community based clients (including group work) as needed under the direction of and after discussion with the Senior Physiotherapist. The therapist is an active member of a multidisciplinary team and will provide advice on physiotherapy related issues to both staff and the community. Health promotion is a focus of all positions in SLHD and therapists are involved in these programs. Physiotherapists at a grade 1 or 2 level will work to satisfy the requirements of a grade 1 or 2 according to the Health Professionals Award 2007.
	This is a Temporary Part Time position, working 20 hours per week until 26 July 2013 , and classified as Physiotherapist. This position is located in Queanbeyan which belongs to Southern NSW Local Health District.
Selection Criteria	1. Qualifications approved by the Australian Health practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and registration with or eligible for registration with AHPRA. 2. Relevant and comprehensive clinical experience and demonstrated experience in the provision of a high standard of evidence based clinical assessment and intervention to a broad range of client groups, using primary health care principles. 3.Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement when required 4. Demonstrated high level of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, as well as demonstrated computer literacy. 5. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads in order to achieve effective and efficient service provision. 6. Willingness to provide supervision to physiotherapy students after 12 months experience as a registered physiotherapist. 7. Evidence of a current Class C driver’s licence and willingness to travel for work .
