Are you a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist looking for an exciting career in the emerging subspecialty of Adolescent Forensic Mental Health?
The Forensic Hospital is an integral part of the Forensic Mental Health Network and is operated by the Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network. Located at Malabar this purpose-built 135-bed facility provides high-quality specialised care to male and female, young people and adult forensic patients, in a high-secure therapeutic environment.
The Forensic Hospital currently has a temporary part time position, up to June 2018, available for an appropriately qualified Clinical/Forensic Psychologist with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (see selection criteria for more details). The position (3 days per week; Monday being mandatory) is based in the Austinmer Adolescent unit.
Your demonstrated experience in the provision of psychological assessment, case formulation and psychological interventions, high level communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team will make you our person of choice.
You will also demonstrate knowledge of drug & alcohol assessment and understanding of cognitive behavioural therapeutic interventions for the delivery of services to adolescents with Mental Health issues.
