Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners eligible for registration in New South Wales for the above position within the Department of Paediatrics, Canterbury Hospital within the Sydney Local Health District (SLHD). The appointment is for the remainder of the current quinquennium ending on 31 December 2018.

 

Canterbury Hospitals is a 205 bed teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Sydney.  It has a 24 hour Emergency Department, ICU/CCU, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Urology, Gynaecology, General, and ENT surgery.  There is an extensive day procedure unit and support provided by trainees and resident medical officers. 

 

Applicants should have a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics) and / or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Public Hospitals (Visiting Medical Officers Fee for Service contracts) Determination 2014.

 

Applicants expecting to be awarded their fellowship within six months may be considered. If successful, the applicant, will not be eligible to commence their appointment until the relevant qualifications and requirements are formally completed.  

 

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Public Hospitals (Visiting Medical Officers Fee for Service Contracts) Determination 2007.
