South Western Sydney LHD is currently seeking to employ four (4) Staff Specialist Psychiatrists to work in a range of adult mental health settings with the District.

 

South Western Sydney LHD is one of the largest health districts in the Sydney metropolitan area and has a population of approximately 850,000. In South Western Sydney LHD we aim to provide a healthcare that is patient focused, equitable and responsive to the changing and developing communities in South Western Sydney.

 

The South Western Sydney LHD Mental Health Service (MHS) provides quality mental health care to residents across the area. We are proud of our capacity for cutting edge, innovative research in collaborative partnerships within the University of New South Wales and the University of Western Sydney.

 

Consultant Psychiatrists are invited to apply to become part of a collegial and progressive Mental Health Service that has a strong focus on clinical care, quality improvement, teaching and research.

 

Applicants must have a medical degree registrable with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Medical Board or equivalent as per the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Applicants should hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

 

Applicantions are welcome from Advanced Trainees who will attain Fellowship within six (6) months

The position of Team Leader AOT provides management, operational and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of high quality recovery focused & strengths based mental health care. As the Senior Occupational Therapist in the Community Mental Health Service the position also provides profession specific leadership, and leadership and management support to the Recreation Officer and Peer Workers within the Community Mental Health Service.
