Role Outline

eHealth NSW is responsible for the delivery of digital technology in clinical care, business services and smart infrastructure, providing a digitally enabled and integrated health system that delivers quality outcomes and patient-centered health experiences to the people of NSW. eHealth NSW works in close partnership with Local Health Districts and other NSW Health organisations, with clinical engagement and leadership being particularly important to success of eHealth strategies, programs and services. The Director, Ministry of Health ICT Program, is responsible for leading and managing the coordinated delivery of digital / ICT programs and services to the Ministry of Health teams and personnel. The Ministry of Health is embarking on a complex program of digitally enabled change over the coming period including a change of office location and a transition to ‘New Ways of Working’. Having recently completed the development of a holistic ICT strategy and with a transition of ICT service delivery responsibility to eHealth NSW in progress, the Ministry of Health requires an accomplished senior ICT leader with solid transformation delivery capability and an exemplary customer service focus to lead and coordinate the implementation of the strategy in conjunction with ensuring that the delivery of transitioned ICT existing services meets or exceeds the expectations of the customer.

You are required to submit a one page covering letter, including a short statement in response to the two targeted questions below:

  1. Describe your leadership and management approach, particularly in the context of delivery on strategy, transformation capability and management of digital / ICT systems.
  2. Describe your experience developing and managing relationships, customer perspectives and service delivery partnerships across a wide and complex group of stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Extensive management experience and a record of achievement in digital / ICT service delivery in a large and complex service environment, including proven skills in developing and managing relationships, customer perspectives and delivery partnerships across a wide and complex group of stakeholders

This is a full time, term (up to two years), Band 1, Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $197,111 to $219,602 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
