Role Outline

The Director, Development provides strategic leadership and management for the development of projects across the full project life cycle and delivers value add services to the HI capital program, Ministry of Health and Local Health Districts. Delivering future focused outcomes for the health system, the role provides leadership and expert advice to the development of all capital projects.

 

The Director, Development will lead the HI Development Team to provide expert advice across the following subject matter areas:

 
  • Asset Strategic Planning strategic review
  • Pre-planning and due-diligence coordination
  • Business case development
  • Town planning and environmental sustainability
  • Property functions
  • Precinct development
  • Car Parking and implementation of the NSW Health policy
  • Assurance functions including INSW co-ordination
  • Portfolio reporting and benchmarking
  • Ministry of Health and Inter-Government liaison

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary and/or post graduate qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Project Management or related fields, or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience, preferably gained in a large, complex and decentralised work environment.
 
This is a full time, Band 1, Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $223,477 to $245,968 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
