Role Outline

The Director, Engagement and Operations is responsible for driving and implementing strategies across two key delivery teams: Stakeholder and community engagement including media relations in support of the work of the Commission; and Business support services to ensure the efficient operations of the Commission and adherence to Government and accountability requirements.

1. Provide an example which highlights your capabilities to effectively consult, negotiate and influence a situation with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve positive outcomes in a Communications context.


2. Describe your experience and approach in implementing new business approaches, to build capability and knowledge within teams to improve efficiency, enhance quality and deliver a positive workplace culture. 



The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience at a senior level in the design, planning, implementation and/or evaluation of strategic engagement or communication strategies
  • Knowledge of NSW government policy and processes for procurement, financial management and HR practices and frameworks; experience in managing corporate governance aspects of a government agency

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Public Service senior executive (PSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $197,111 to $219,602 per annum, with annual performance reviews will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
