Purpose of Position

Under the general direction from the Manager and in accordance with functional requirements of the line area, undertake a combination of keyboard, clerical,

administrative and other duties within IRO Ambulatory Care. This will include data entry, filing, reception, correspondence, telephone enquiries, patient bookings, billing and other duties as directed by the Supervisor/Manager/Head of Department.

Selection Criteria 1. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers internally and externally.

2. Demonstrated experience with computers and software packages/databases, eg Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

3. Medical terminology experience or willingness to learn

4. Previous experience in a hospital or medical environment

5. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adapt to a constantly changing environment

6. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and also individually
