Purpose of Position

To facilitate the implementation and conduct of clinical trials within the department.

We are seeking a Clinical Trial Research Nurse to assist in the conduct and coordination of clinical trials within busy, established clinical trials unit in Haematology at Concord Hospitals. This is a 1 FTE position.

 

In this position the successful applicant will participate in the identification, screening and enrolment of patients in clinical trials. In addition, the successful applicant may be involved in the preparation of ethics submissions, discussion of clinical trials with patients, processing and shipping clinical trial samples, completing data entry and regular communication with patients in these trials. The applicant will be motivated and able to work independently with direction within a friendly and supportive team environment. 

 

Full time Maternity Leave Relief up to March 2018 with a possible extension up to a further 12 months.

Selection Criteria Excellent planning and organisational skills

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and autonomously.

Demonstrated ability to be innovative, flexible, prioritise appropriately, and an ability to problem solve.

Proficiency in the use of excel, computer applications and databases.

Ability to work under pressure and strict timelines.

Current registration with AHPRA.
