Purpose of Position

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Service is responsible for the Clinical Care of an ICU and or HDU patient. The RPAH ICU service is composed of 4 seperate units which include Cardiothoracic ICU, Neurosciences ICU and 2 General ICU's (BICU & GICU).

Selection Criteria Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Postgraduate qualification in critical care nursing, working towards or recent extensive critical care experience, or a combination of both.

Ability and commitment to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Well developed organisational skills

Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development towards the nursing profession.

Highly developed communication skills including both written and oral.
