Purpose of Position

The Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery Fellow provides expert care and clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within the fields of trauma and injury with particular emphasis on Orthopaedic injuries. The Trauma Fellow develops, facilitates, implements and evaluates care management plans for trauma patients.

Selection Criteria • Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), FRACS in Orthopaedic Surgery, or equivalent qualification

• Demonstrated ability to achieve targets and goals

• Demonstrated interest in orthopaedic/ trauma surgery

• Current provider certification in EMST or ATLS

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Demonstrated involvement in research in Trauma or related speciality

• Experience in educating undergraduate medical and allied health professionals

• Demonstrated advanced level of communication skills
