An opportunity has become available to be part of an innovative program for 1 or 2 experienced and motivated individuals passsionate about the provision of health services in the community to join the State-wide Eyesight Preschooler Screening Program (StEPS). The successul candidate/s will play an integral part in daily operations and service requirements of StEPS from our head office located at The Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick. The successful candidate/s will be responsible for a range of different administrative tasks key to the fluid and consistent delivery of The StEPS Program. The position is a full-time 38 hours per week position for the right applicant or jobshare with 2 permanent part time positions will be considered. This position is full-time for the right applicant or job share with 2 Permanent Part Time positions considered and is classified as an Administrative Officer Level 3.

Selection Criteria
|
1. Previous administrative experience, preferably in a health care settting
2. Demonstrated excellent typing skill with high attention to detail
3. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, the public and maintain professional patient and staff interactions including the ability to deal confidentially and courteously with people at all levels
4. Proven time management and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload
5. Proven ability to act with discretion and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
6. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the use of excel
7. Previous use and competence in the use of IT platforms and software such as IPM, EMR (electronic medical records), Oracle and Health Roster is desirable
8. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as a demonstrated high level of self direction under limited supervision
