Purpose of Position

The Concord Vascular Unit has 4 consultants, 9 operating sessions each week and approximately 700 cases per year. There is a focus on endovascular skills. Vascular surgery across the spectrum of aortic, carotid, peripheral, vascular access and venous procedures are performed. Clinically based research opportunities exist.


Concord Hospital maintains strong links to the veteran community, and is a tertiary referral centre for vascular surgery.

Selection Criteria MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA.

Experience in Vascular Surgery required essential. Vascular Surgical Fellowship (FRACS) or international equivalent desirable.

Demonstrated interest in vascular surgery.

Demonstrated interest in teaching and research.

Demonstrated clinical competency and appropriate progress toward career goals.

Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills.

Demonstrated good organisational, time management skills.

Commitment to ongoing quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
