  • Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and supervision.

Belmont District Hospital is looking for a self motivated medical officer for the role of Deputy Director for Anaesthetic Services.

The Deputy Director will provide strategic leadership and strategic planning for the department in collaboration with the General Manager, Director Medical Services Belmont Hospital and the Medical Director of Anaesthetics at John Hunter Hospital.

The role includes procedural, outpatient and on call, supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students, participation in quality activities, professional development and continuing education and participation in the on-call roster at John Hunter Hospital.

In addition to the functions and responsibilities of a staff specialist, the Deputy Director is expected to provide leadership and management, and facilitate clinical improvement, quality and safety committees and education.
