Purpose of Position

To deliver a quality child and family community health nursing service in the home and clinic settings to families and carers of children 0-5 years of age.

This will be achieved by using the NSW Kids and Families coordinated strategy to increase the effectiveness of early intervention and prevention services in helping families to raise healthy, well-adjusted children.

Selection Criteria Current Nurses registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Child & Family Health Nursing recognised qualifications or demonstrated evidence of enrolment in tertiary institution and nearing completion of qualification

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with children and families within an evidence based framework.

Demonstrated experience of working in partnership with families

Commitment to undertake and complete training requirements as required by the LHD.

Demonstrated high level of communication, liaison, conflict resolution skills, networking skills, and the ability to work successfully with a range of stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and in an autonomous role

Demonstrated high level competency with computer literacy and experience with medical records.

Unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence (P2 Licence acceptable).
