Purpose of Position

To provide comprehensive clinical mental health services to people with a mental illness or mental disorder that is least intrusive, collaborative, recovery oriented, nominated carer and family responsive and inclusive, rehabilitative, encourages self advocacy, facillitates empowerment and capacity for optimal independent function and utilises evidence-based practice interventions.

Selection Criteria Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and including eligibility for membership of relevant professional body &/or full registration (if applicable) with AHPRA.

Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.

Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.

Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.

Computer competence and literacy.

Current NSW State Drivers' Licence including P1 or above and willingness to use for work purposes.
This position requires a Working With Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Office of the Children's Guardian.
