Purpose of Position

The Occupational Therapist will provide services primarily to inpatient neurology, neurosurgery and rehabilitation caseloads.  Participation is expected in collaborative multidisciplinary practice, ongoing education, teaching, evidence based practice and quality improvement activities.


A temporary, part time position (16 hours per week) exists within the inpatient neurology/rehabilitation caseload at The Children's Hospital at Westmead until 23/03/2018.


Days of work by negotiation, however Monday & Friday preferred.


This position is Temporary Part Time working 16 hours per week up to 23/03/2018 and is classified as an Occupational Therapist Level 1/2.

Selection Criteria 1. Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.

2. Postgraduate experience and knowledge in the area of paediatric neurosciences and/or rehabilitation.

3. Demonstrated skills in upper limb rehabilitation, splinting and casting, equipment prescription and home/school modifications.

4. Excellent communication and team work skills, including an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

5. Demonstrated time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to work flexibly within service demands.

6. Demonstrated experience in quality improvement activities.

7. Drivers Licence.
