Purpose of Position

To provide quality customer focused service to patients and their families, and to staff, by providing administrative, data processing and application support to the Transactional Services Department to ensure that these functions are performed in a timely and efficient manner, thereby contributing to revenue and cash flow improvement within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.

 

This position will be responsible for administrative and revenue systems support in the Transactional Services Department and requires a commitment to teamwork and co-operation through a flexible and hand-on approach to work, respect of co-workers and a willingness to assist to meet team deadlines.

 

The Transactional Services & Systems Support Officer assists the Revenue Systems Support & Data Manager in ensuring excellence in service delivery by supporting the day to day operations of the system.  This position will also provide assistance to the Transactional Team.

 

The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, together with the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick, forms the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN).

This position is Temporary Full Time up to 31/07/2018 and is classified as an Administrative Officer Level 4.

Selection Criteria 1. Knowledge and demonstrated ability in high volume transactional systems

2. Sound understanding of the Patient Billing process

3. Experience in system maintenance and support of billing system

4. Demonstrated ability to use initiative and sound judgement to problem solve and excellent communication skills at all levels

5. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise workload to meet daily and monthly deadlines

6. Proven ability to perform in a team environment

7. Knowledge of Oracle or similar financial system

8. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications
