Purpose of Position

To provide nursing care to patients within the EN scope of practice

To work collaboratively within the nursing team in the planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care

To work in partnership with families in the provision of care for patients.

To develop and maintain, through education and practice, paediatric and nursing knowledge and skills consistent to their role.

 

There is an opportunity for an enrolled nurse to join our friendly, busy surgical ward team. Surgical and/or paediatric experience is an advantage however full support and education will be available. We care for children age newborn to teenagers who require interventional radiology and general, dental, opthalmic, ENT, urological and colorectal surgery or  have been involved in trauma.

 

This position is Permanent Full Time/ Permanent Part Time and is classified as an Enrolled Nurse.

Selection Criteria 1. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a medication endorsed Enrolled Nurse.

2. Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a mulitdisciplinary team.

4. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload.

5. Computer Literacy.

6. Recent experience in an acute hospital setting (surgical and/or burns nursing preferable)
