Purpose of Position

The Administrative Assistant provides effective management of the day-to-day frontline operations of the Chatswood Corporate Office. This includes ensuring that broader executive support and related administrative responsibilities are undertaken in an efficient, professional and timely manner, including providing high quality, customer focused front line reception.

 

NSW Health Pathology is seeking an experienced and dynamic Administrative Assistant to manage the frontline operations of the Chatswood Corporate Office.

 

As the primary point of contact, you will be customer focused and personable and ensure that all interactions are managed in a friendly positive manner.  We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively, and is highly organised with a demonstrated capacity to managing a diverse range of tasks and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

This position is a permanent position. To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only occur if there is no suitable local applicant.

Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating main front office reception as well as providing support to varying professionals, skill sets and authority levels as required.

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, respond flexibly to changing demands and deadlines and capacity to display initiative and judgment.

Proven experience in planning and coordinating events, troubleshooting when issues arise, confidence with operating audiovisual and meeting room equipment and the ability to develop in-house training and undertake delivery of training to staff.

Demonstrated proficiency in using PC based software at an advanced level including Microsoft Office suite.

Certificate IV Business and/or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
