Purpose of Position

The position is responsible for leading, guiding and managing the delivery of occupational therapy services to allocated clinical grouping patients in Concord Hospital. As a senior clinician the occupational therapist will be responsible for the provision of an efficient and effective occupational therapy service through the application of high level clinical expertise and knowledge in the management of patients with the speciality area undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.

This encompasses leadership and management, human resource management, continuing improvement, information management and safe practice & environment

functions, in conjunction with the Head of Department. The post holder is responsible for the clinical supervision and delegated line management of up to 5 FTE occupational Department (or delegate).

Selection Criteria Current National Occupational Therapy registration (AHPRA).

Demonstrated high level clinical expertise , competency and knowledge of a wide range of clinical conditions in the allocated clinical area including working at minimum at a Level 2

Current NSW Unrestricted driver's licence (P2 licence acceptable)

Demonstrated competence in the supervision of staff and/or students

Demonstrated experience with quality improvement activities

Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence based practice &/or development of treatment protocols

Demonstrated clinical and professional leadership skills
