Purpose of Position
  • Leading and managing health services planning processes across NBMLHD facilities and clinical services.
  • Coordinating and preparing Clinical Services Plans for Health Services and Facilities with projected health activity (using NSW Health approved methodologies) and future models of health care
  • Providing leadership in partnering with external organisations that support health service delivery for the population of NBMLHD.
  • Ensuring that comprehensive and high quality epidemiological information is provided in a timely manner to inform health service and program developments.
  • Planning, coordinating and managing human and financial resources in order to meet performance, service and financial indicators and accountabilities.
  • Providing leadership and contributing as a member of the Planning Directorate Executive Team.

Selection Criteria Tertiary qualifications, preferably post-graduate qualifications and or relevant experience, in a relevant health discipline.

Demonstrated high level understanding of evidence based health service delivery and demands in the context of contemporary health care within NSW, nationally and internationally.

Demonstrated extensive and senior level experience in health services planning and development.

Demonstrated extensive experience in interpersonal communication and negotiation skills across multiple stakeholders, as well as demonstrated high level capacity in written and verbal communication.

Demonstrated high level analytical capacity resulting in the ability to make complex judgements and take initiatives through delegated responsibilities especially in high demand and politically sensitive situations.

Demonstrated high level project and change management skills showing highly developed skills in prioritisation, organisation and time management being delivered by leading a team or independently in order to meet deadlines.

Demonstrated experience in human resource and financial management in the context of a contemporary leadership culture.

Evidence of a current Class C drivers licence and ability to travel for work purposes.
