Purpose of Position

The Clinical Nurse Educator in consultation with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM), is required to assist in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of clinical education and staff development programs aimed at developing, maintaining and continually enhancing the clinical skills of staff working in the NICU

To apply, you need to be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold an appropriate work visa.

Selection Criteria Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (NSW Registered Nurse- Division1).

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or relevant skill sets or currently enrolled in the program.

Post Graduate qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing and extensive current Neonatal Intensive Care nursing clinical experience.

Demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of unit education programs.

Experience in clinical teaching utilising adult learning principles.

Effective communication ( Written & Verbal), organisation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Computer literacy and understanding of hospital information systems.
