Purpose of Position

A 1.0 FTE, 12 month temporary position is available, with possibility of extension, for the provision of Radiation Oncology services in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Local Health District within the established framework of a networked and integrated cancer service. Applications are sought for a Radiation Oncologist who is willing to provide care for patients at both the Illawarra Cancer Care Centre and the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre.  Leadership and active participation in the established multi-disciplinary cancer care teams is expected.

 

This is a temporary full time leave relief position until date 07 April 2019, with the possibility of extension.

Successful applicants to the role must provide certified documentation of vaccination history and pathology as part of their recruitment documentation. Selection Criteria 1. Registration or eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

2. Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) or equivalent qualification in Radiation Oncology and current EPA Licence.

3. Demonstrated experience in the provision of radiation oncology services and evidence of ongoing professional development.

4. Demonstrated experience, involvement and leadership in innovation and quality improvement, education and research. Previous experience in the clinical implementation of SABR for various sites will be highly regarded.

5. Demonstrated ability to support and collaborate with cancer services multidisciplinary teams to foster productive patient centred working relationships.

6. Demonstrated commitment to the provision of services to the Illawarra and Shoalhaven community.

7. Demonstrated commitment to the ISLHD CORE values.

8. Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to travel between cancer centres in accordance with the demands of the position.
