Purpose of Position

To provide child, family and adolescent mental health clinical interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team from the Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.


To provide evidence based and culturally appropriate assessment, diagnosis, case formulation and treatment to children and adolescents (5-17)  with moderate to severe mental health problems.


To work collaboratively with families and or carers of children and adolescents who present for assessment and treatment


To provide evidence based and culturally appropriate family interventions


To work collaboratively and in consultation with key stakeholders relevant to the care of children and adolescents attending the service


To participate in activities scheduled in regards to service  function and development

Selection Criteria Professional Qualification (Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist) and eligibility for membership to professional organisation.

Demonstrated ability and experience to work with complex cases concerning young people with mental illness and their families.

Demonstrated ability and experience in providing evidence based individual and family assessment and intervention with adolescents and families.

Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and problem solving skills and computer literacy.

NSW unresricted drivers licence (P2 licence Acceptable)
