The OH&S Support Officer reporting to the Integrated Services Manager is responsible for the provision of advice and assistance with the review, development and implementation of an integrated OH&S framework within Griffith Base Hospital to ensure proactive regulatory and statutory compliance and to achieve strategic objectives. The OH&S Support Officer will assist in the review, development and implementation of GSAHS Occupational Health and Safety Programs, policies, procedures and strategies. This position will assist in the coordination and reporting on the NSW Health OH&S Audit System (currently Numerical Profile) and assist in the development of continuous improvement strategies as required within GrBH. The OH&S Support Officer will review incident data to identify trends and issues and assist in the development of Management reporting systems and tools to ensure proactive management and reporting on OH&S issues and compliance. This position will provide consultancy and advice to managers to achieve regulatory compliance and GSAHS strategic directives. The OH&S support Officer will assist in the development and facilitation support of targeted OH&S Programs and training and provide guidance to GrBH Managers and the OH&S Committee as required.
